The Minister of Youth and Sports, Vanja Udovičić, and the US Ambassador, Anthony Godfrey, visited the joint training of water polo players from Serbia and the USA in Dorćol. The Serbian and American teams, which are on a European tour, trained under the supervision of selectors Dejan Savić and Dejan Udovičić.

I am glad that together with the American ambassador, I had the opportunity to visit the training of water polo players in Serbia and the USA and to talk to the players about the conditions they have for preparations. Only two months ago, we enabled the water polo players of Serbia to have the most modern balloon here on May 25, but at the same time we attract foreign athletes through this investment, but we enable even better preparations for our water polo players.

– The choice of the USA selection to prepare in Serbia speaks first of our friendship, but also of Serbia’s position on the world water polo and sports scene. Thanks to the ambassador and the selection of the USA for choosing Belgrade and Serbia, and I hope that these two national teams will play against each other at the Olympic Games in Tokyo at the very end of the competition – Udovičić told reporters.

Ambassador Godfrey did not hide his satisfaction that he visited the training of water polo players from Serbia and the USA and added that he himself is a regular at the pool and that he enjoys swimming.

It is a great honor for me to be here, I would especially like to thank the Serbian coach Dejan Udovičić, who helps the American team a lot. I am happy to be here and I am sure that the cooperation in sports between the two countries can be even better. Thank you, Minister Udovičić, for being here together – said Ambassador Godfrey.
