This railroad was the vein of homesickness and Europe’s connection to the Adriatic Sea.
From Belgrade to Dubrovnik and Zelenika, a narrow – gauge railway line from 760 mm, from 1925 to 1974 through tunnels, over bridges and throughmountain cuttings were driven by the famous train “Ćira”, leaving behind the distinctive smell of the steam locomotive’s smoke.
